not a dreary hike

Yesterday I had a much better hike than the day before.  First, I had company.  Second, the location was new and improved.  I had never been on that trail before.  I wish we had brought a camera to capture the sunset.  From atop the summit, we could see the Wasatch mountains, the Oquirrh mountains, the Great [...]

dreary hike

A hike in February just isn’t that scenic.  The trail was mostly slushy snowy ice, stained brown from mud and who knows what else.
I found these great chocolate-covered raisins, though:

That reminds me of Steve Carell on Anchorman, when he says, ”Sorry, Champ—I think I ate your chocolate squirrel.”

my new lover

My friend Bryce is going on a cruise with his family for a week.  He asked me to bunnysit for him.  (He has a pet bunny.  Bryce is…masculine.)  I agreed, thinking it was a good way to thank him for the volunteer hours he donated to get me my bike.
Bryce dropped Bun-Bun off last night, [...]

Stupid SuperBowl.

A SuperBowl party hosted by three guys is bound to have a lot of bacon products.  They made potato skins with cheese and bacon on top…mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon mixed in…a cheeseburger pizza with bacon…and I forget what else.  My stomach hurts.  Mom, for the record, I brought grapes.
Here we are enjoying the 3D [...]
