Sound the trumpets! Here’s an online clip from yesterday’s press conference.
And tonight on the news was the following…which I had to quickly get my own camera to record…sorry for the quality:
I find that having a deep voice is the only way people can tell I’m not 17.
(By the way–to respond to Bruce Baird’s point about competition driving interest rates down…my coworker argues that this is nonsense. You can see how well this concept works with gas stations. When there are gas stations on each corner, right next to each other, do they compete with each other and continue to lower their prices? Do they knock off a penny here, a nickel there, to attract more customers? No. They match each other’s prices. Same with payday lenders who are located right by each other. It hasn’t made them drive down their interest rates.)
Cool. Congrats on the ordinance.
Congrats…hippie.
lol, just kidding!
Awesome job.
You do not look 17.
Your voice is sexy.
Stop trying to seduce the Fox 13 News viewing public.
Nice work. It’s possible I might wind up spending the summer working on a similar project. There’s quite a few public interest groups looking for law student slave labor for indigent clients. Predatory lending is one of the problems that tends to come up in that area.
Are you folks working mostly on the lobbying side of that issue, or the relief side?
Good for you! We work only on lobbying. Unless the victims need food, and come into our emergency food pantry. But we’re definitely spending our energy on the advocacy work.
I need to look up the word “indigent.” Is it like indigenous? Indignant?
Indignant applies with equal force, I’m sure.
But keep up the great work! If you and your friends can put law students like me out of a summer job, so much the better.
