My best friend Heather is living with me for ten weeks this summer, working in the same food pantry where I work part of the week (the other part spent upstairs in my office).  That’s why I haven’t posted in awhile.  She and I have been too busy going on walks around Liberty Park, almost [...]

Copper and me

I dogsit and housesit for free.  That’s how much I love doggies.  (I do require that the dogowner lets me eat anything I want, though.)  This past week I got to know Copper, a lovable Australian Shepherd who likes to lick everything in sight…including your armpit if you’re in a sleeveless shirt.

I was e-mailing with my friend about President Obama’s inauguration.  He had some insight on the day:
him: I could nitpick a few things about the speech, but I feel good right now.  I just feel safer knowing that he’s up there, watching over me, answering my prayers…wait, what?
me: I knooooooow!  I feel like he’s the [...]

MY GOALS FOR 2009:
1.    Climb Mount Olympus in Salt Lake City, perhaps also Mount Timpanogos.
2.    Don’t spend work time sending non-work-related e-mails.
3.    Live for God.
4.    Watch the entire series of The West Wing.
5.    Be nice to people even when they annoy me.
6.    Learn to use double-pointed needles in my knitting.
