LOVE your dress! After looking at the first pic on here I thought about how unfair it is that men, once they reach their adult height, can wear the same tux forever almost. And then I saw your pretty-ness and was reminded that although we women have to purchase new dresses, we also get to pick out new ones all the time :).

I definitely see what you mean, Nika. My thought is, to truly be in the deep end--whether you dove in or walked in slowly--you have to have both feet in the water. You can't be treading water with one foot on the ledge of the pool. So, eventually, at some point you have to be completely submerged in the water. Otherwise you aren't actually swimming. You can't spend your whole life wading in the shallow end and picking your way carefully over slippery rocks.

I do understand the value of *gradually* getting to the deep end. The important thing is that you do end up in the deep end.

Enough with the metaphor now. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

You make it sound like a pool with no shallow end - you're either in completely or you're out completely. What about those pools that like gradually get to the deep end, so you can work your way in over time? I think they're both valid types of pools and in the end you're both in the same deep end. But some people like to jump in without feeling the water first, so that's their choice.

Me, I don't like water.

What is love? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more...

-Haddaway

P.S. I had the best moment last night. I was walking from my parking spot on 200 S. down to 300 S. and thought the apartment building to my right looked familiar. Then it hit me! It's Harry and Lloyd's apartment! I forgot how many scenes were shot in SLC.

I was so happy.

Turns out La Caille restaurant right off of 6200 S. is Mary Swanson's mansion in the movie, too. If I ever eat there again, I'm going to have to dramatically back up against the building and grasp my chest above my heart.
